And there on the deed you can see the original meaning of STAMP DUTY... a stamp to show the deed has passed hands and is legal... stamps that cost 9p!
The no-fee (where would that happen these days!) building permit for Bradbury to build the hut...
And the plans submitted to and stamped by Manjimup Shire...
Meticulously drawn on a piece of pad paper...
And lastly, the original lease agreement between Dad and the Shire... note the stamp duty payable...
